The REDD+ SES initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Forestry and Soil Conservation and CARE Nepal, held the 8th Exchange and Learning workshop of the REDD+ SES initiative in Pokhara, Nepal from 13th to 15th April 2015. The workshop was followed by a field visit to communities in the region of Gorkha on 16th April 2015.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for exchange between government and civil society practitionersabout key issues that they are facing with developing a country safeguards approach through a multi-stakeholder, participatory process, and developing safeguards information systems at different scales. A total of 30 participants from 16 countries, provinces and organisations attended the workshop.
